
Jharkhand TET: The Jharkhand Academic Council, Ranchi has officially notified the notification on JTET (Jharkhand Shikshak Patrata Pariksha) for year 2026 through the notification number 487 issued on 26-03-2026 as per Jharkhand Shikshak Patrata Pariksha Niyamawali -2026.
It is the Teacher Eligibility Test to assess the eligibility of the candidates for appointment as Sahayak Aacharya (Assistant Teacher) for elementary schools (Primary Class 1–5 and Upper Primary Class 6–8) in the state of Jharkhand. The examination will be conducted at two different levels, viz., Level-1 for primary class (1-5) and Level-2 for upper primary class (6-8).

Eligibility Criteria for Jharkhand TET (JTET) 2026
For Primary Teacher (Class 1–5)
Candidates must have:
- 12th pass with at least 50% marks and D.El.Ed
OR - Graduation with D.El.Ed
OR - B.Ed qualification (as per updated norms)
For Upper Primary Teacher (Class 6–8)
Candidates must have:
- Graduation with B.Ed
OR - Graduation with D.El.Ed
As mentioned in the official notification, different qualification combinations are accepted based on NCTE guidelines.
