The download link was made active on 14th January 2026 on the official website www.ugcnet.nta.ac.in by the National Test Agency. Candidates can log in using their details to get the answer key for their paper. For easy access, a direct option is also shared below so candidates can download the UGC NET Answer Key 2026 without any trouble.

  • Visit the official UGC NET website at www.ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
  • On the homepage, click on UGC NET December Answer Key Challenge under the candidate activity section.
  • A new page will open with login options using application number and password or application number and date of birth.
  • Choose one option and enter the required details as mentioned on the admit card.
  • The UGC NET Answer Key 2026 PDF will appear on the screen.
  • Download the answer key and check the answers given in the exam.

Candidates who are not satisfied with the answers can raise objections against the provisional answers. Objections can be submitted with proper proof on or before 17th January 2026. To submit an objection, candidates need to pay the required fee for each question using credit card, debit card, net banking, or UPI. This option is given for reviewing the responses shown in the UGC NET Answer Key 2026.

  • Enter your application number, date of birth, and the security PIN shown on the screen, then click submit.
  • Click on View Question Paper to see your marked responses and to view or challenge the answers.
  • The questions will appear with question IDs in order.
  • The option shown under Correct Option(s) is the answer given by NTA.
  • To challenge an answer, select one or more option IDs by ticking the checkbox.
  • After selecting the option, scroll down and click on Save your Claims to continue.
  • A page will show all the option IDs you have challenged.
  • Upload supporting proof by clicking Choose File and upload all documents in a single PDF file.
  • Click on Save your Claims and Pay Fee, or choose Modify your Claims if you need to make changes.
  • After saving, a page will appear showing your submitted challenges.
  • Click on Pay Fee to complete the process.
  • Select the payment mode and pay a non-refundable fee of Rs. 200 for each question challenged.
