
The State Bank of India (SBI) will soon close the online application window for SBI Clerk Recruitment 2026. Candidates who are still waiting must hurry – the last date to apply is August 26, 2025. Applications can only be submitted through the official website sbi.co.in.
This recruitment drive aims to fill a massive 6,589 Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales) posts, including both regular and backlog vacancies.
SBI Clerk Eligibility Criteria
- Age Limit: Candidates must be 20 to 28 years as of April 1, 2025 (born between 02.04.1997 and 01.04.2005, both dates inclusive).
- Relaxation: Age relaxation is available for reserved categories as per government norms.
- Education: Graduation in any discipline (or equivalent) is mandatory.
- Final year/semester students can also apply but must pass their degree before December 31, 2025.
- Candidates with integrated dual degrees should ensure the date of passing is before December 31, 2025.
Selection Process for SBI Clerk
The recruitment will be conducted in three stages:
- Preliminary Exam
- Objective test for 100 marks
- Duration: 1 hour
- Main Exam
- 190 questions worth 200 marks
- Duration: 2 hours 40 minutes
- Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT)
- Mandatory for candidates who have not studied the opted local language in Class 10th/12th.
SBI Clerk Application Fee
- General, OBC, EWS: ₹750
- SC, ST, PwBD, XS, DXS: No Fee
