Candidates must have graduated from a recognized university or have passed the HSC/Equivalent (XII pass) test with 60% (50% for ex-servicemen, SC/ST, and persons with disabilities). The candidate must have passed English as one of the subjects at the SSC/HSC/Intermediate/Graduation levels.

Knowledge of the Regional Language, or the Language of the State of Recruitment, is required.
