JKSSB Constable Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
The JK Police Constable Selection Process 2026 has a few steps that candidates need to pass to get selected. First, there is a written exam where candidates are tested on their basic knowledge of the required subjects. After that, a Physical Standard Test is held to check height, weight, and chest measurements as per the rules. In the final stage, candidates have to take part in a Physical Endurance Test to show their physical fitness.

Apart from this, candidates with an NCC ‘C’ certificate are given 5 percent extra marks, those with an NCC ‘B’ certificate get 3 percent extra marks, and candidates holding an NCC ‘A’ certificate receive 2 percent extra marks.
JKSSB Constable Physical Test 2026
The Bombay High Court Notification 2025 explains that the salary is different for each post. Along with the basic pay, candidates who get selected will also receive other allowances and benefits as per government rules.
a) For Male Candidates:
- Height: Minimum 5 feet 6 inches
- Chest (Unexpanded): Minimum 32 inches
- Chest (Expanded): Minimum 33.5 inches
b) For Female Candidates:
- Height: Minimum 5 feet 2 inches
Only candidates who clear the PST will be allowed to take part in the PET.
For Male Candidates:
- Long Race: 1600 meters in 6 minutes 30 seconds
- Push-ups: 20 (1 full cycle = up and down)
For Female Candidates:
- Long Race: 1000 meters in 6 minutes 30 seconds
- Shot Put (4 kg): Minimum distance of 14.5 feet in 3 attempts
