GATE 2026 Admit Card : For 2026, the exam is being handled by the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, which is also in charge of issuing the hall ticket. The GATE 2026 Admit Card has been released online on 13th January 2026 on the official website https://gate2026.iitg.ac.in/. Every candidate must bring this admit card on the exam day, as entry to the exam hall will not be allowed without it.
The GATE exam, called the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering, is a national-level entrance test held every year. It is used for admission to M.Tech, ME, MS, and PhD courses in IITs, NITs, IIITs, and other well-known institutes, and is also useful for jobs in many public sector companies. The GATE 2026 exam for 30 subjects is planned to be held on 7th, 8th, 14th, and 15th February 2026.
The exam has 65 questions carrying a total of 100 marks, with questions asked in MCQ, MSQ, and numerical answer formats. Candidates who have registered for the exam must download and print the GATE 2026 Admit Card and carry it to the exam centre on the exam day. The admit card shows important details like reporting time, exam shift, and the full address of the exam centre.

No printed copy will be sent to candidates by post, so everyone has to download it online. To get the GATE 2026 Admit Card, candidates need to log in to the official portal using their enrollment ID and password.
How to Download the GATE 2026 Admit Card?
- Visit the official website of the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati at https://gate2026.iitg.ac.in/.
- On the homepage, click on the Login option under the GATE Admit Card section.
- You will be taken to a login page where you need to enter your Enrollment ID or email address and password.
- After logging in, the GATE 2026 Admit Card will appear on the screen in PDF format.
- Check all the details shown on the admit card carefully.
- Click on the Download option to save the admit card on your device.
- Take a printout of the downloaded admit card and carry it to the exam centre.
GATE 2026 Exam Schedule
The GATE 2026 exam will be held on 7th, 8th, 14th, and 15th February 2026 for a total of 30 subjects. Each exam day will have two shifts, with the morning shift from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and the afternoon shift from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
