As of September 28, 2025, the minimum age requirement for the position of Security Assistant (Motor Transport) is 18 to 27 years old. Candidates must make sure that the age range listed in the official announcement corresponds to their date of birth. According to government regulations, candidates who belong to restricted categories and specific special groups are eligible for relaxations in the upper age restriction.

  • OBC candidates are eligible for a 3 year exemption, and SC/ST candidates receive a 5 year relaxation.
  • Departmental applicants may apply up until the age of 40 if they are Central Government civilian employees with at least three years of continuous service.
  • The upper age limit is loosened in the following ways for widows, divorced women, and women who have been judicially separated from their husbands but have not remarried:
  • Up to 35 years for UR, up to 38 years for OBC, and up to 40 years for SC/ST
  • According to periodic directives from the government, ex-servicemen are entitled to age relaxation.
  • Meritorious athletes are eligible for a relaxation of up to five years.
  • Matriculation from an accredited Board of Education (10th pass).
  • Having a current Motor Vehicles (LMV) driver’s license issued by the appropriate authority.
  • Understanding of Motor Mechanism (The applicant should be able to fix little issues with the car).
  • Experience operating a motor vehicle for a minimum of one year following the issuance of a current driver’s license.
  • possession of the state’s domicile certificate that the applicant is attempting to obtain.

Any Central, State, or Semi-Governmental Department, Organization, Institute, Corporation, PSU, Autonomous Bodies, or Registered Firms should grant the Experience Certificate of Driving for a minimum of one year following the issuance of a valid driver’s license.

The selection process for IB Security Assistant (Motor Transport) Recruitment 2025 will be held in four stages, and candidates must clear each stage to progress further:

  • Tier-I Written Examination (100 Marks): Objective-type test covering General Awareness, Driving Rules, Reasoning, Aptitude, and English.
  • Tier-II Exam (50 Marks): Includes a Driving Test and Motor Mechanism Test, followed by an Interview. Candidates will be assessed on vehicle handling, identifying and fixing minor defects, and overall driving skills.
  • Document Verification (DV): Verification of original certificates related to educational qualifications, age, caste, experience, and other eligibility criteria.
  • Medical Examination (ME): A medical fitness test as per IB standards to ensure candidates are physically fit for the role.

The post of IB Security Assistant (Motor Transport) falls under the Level-3 pay scale (Rs. 21,700 – Rs. 69,100) as per the 7th CPC pay matrix. In addition to the basic pay, selected candidates will receive a Special Security Allowance (SSA) of 20% of the basic pay, making the salary package more attractive compared to other Group ‘C’ posts.

Employees are also eligible for cash compensation in lieu of duty performed on holidays, up to a maximum of 30 days. Along with this, they will receive central government allowances such as HRA, DA, Transport Allowance, medical facilities, pension benefits, and other perks as applicable.
